Classical ballet is about lightness, precision and musicality. In the classical training the proper execution of the classical technique is being taught according to the participants' level, as well as the ability to perceive and work with one's own body ligns. The methodical structure of the training supports the body's flexibiliy and fine coordination and strengthens the required muscles in order to achieve lightness, elegance and expressivity.

Modern-Ballet combines classical dance with elements of contemporary dance styles. Based on the classical technique modern elements such as contraction, release, leaps a.o. are being integrated into an organic movement flow. Also musicwise this class is an absolute cross over experience.

Modern-Jazz means to Gilbert a fusion of various forms of expression of contemporary dance. His style is a fine and coherent mixture of choreographic techniques and languages that convey rhythm and emotion. The exercise is based on fundamental Jazz techniques (Mattox) and contains elements of modern techniques such as Limón and Horton. This complex combination determines the high technical level of his class, which is also reflected within his variations, which for many of his students make up the fascination for his Modern-Jazz class.

The Modern training with Kristin ist very organic and at the same time really energetic and dynamic. The exercise is based on Horton-Technik with some contemporary influences and contains optionally a mordern barre or center exercise, followed by floor work and cross-floor sequences. Within the training contraction, balance, off-balance, stretching, jumps and turns are being worked on in an organic flow. The class finishes with choreographical variations which combine technique, musicality and emotion to a very intense experience. The clear body shapes and lines of make this technique easily accessible even for beginners and allow quick progress of movement abilities. To more advanced students the methodical structure offers an effective training and fundamental approaches to correcting placement and coordination.

The Jazz Dance style of Gilbert originates from Paris in the time of the 70s. Strongly influenced from the elegance and dynamics of his jazz master Mattox, this class contains, besides the basic jazz techniques, vivid variations on swing and funky music. This class is ideal for beginners. The isolation exercises train coordination and concentration ability and strenthen the entire body. The rhythmic movement patterns are easy to learn, work your reaction and most of all are great fun.
